You can read the summary for A Court of Thorns and Roses here..

I was first introduced to Sarah J. Maas when I picked up a book called Throne of Glass. This was a book that had caught my eye a dozen times, but I always passed it up. Once I caved and started reading it, I couldn’t stop asking myself, “Self, why did it take so long for you to cave and start reading this?” I blew through the first three books {the fourth book is due out in September!! HECK YES!} and knew that, from here on out, I would read whatever Maas published.

So, needless to say, when this book hit the shelves I didn’t hesitate. I can’t say that her writing is without its annoyances, e.g. she loves to over use “too-long hallway” or “too-cold hands”, but that’s just me and I’m a weirdo…so don’t listen to me. Well, don’t listen to me when I rant about little annoyances. Listen to me when I say READ THIS BOOK. Her prose is lush and descriptive, without being flowery. She has a knack for writing the Fae world and man, does she kill it. If I could turn her book into a portal, then I totally would. I would jump right in. But I would want to avoid the evil faeries…duh.

Remember this book the next time you’re wondering what to read. Go to the store or on amazon or your nook app or the book depository… whatever… just go and get this book. PS. I thought this was a stand alone, but alas it is not. Good news: it could be a stand alone. Bad news: we have to wait until 2016 for Book 2 to be published. *insert pout face here*

Happy Saturday, Nerds.

  1. I’ve just finished this one and I loved it as well. I wish I could visit Spring Court; it sounds so beautiful from her descriptions! Great review. πŸ˜€

  2. Thanks for this review. I think part of me has been avoiding the book because I know it’s a series and so many series end with me wanting to bang my head against the wall in impatience. Knowing that this isn’t a cliffhanger ending makes me want to really read it. ❀️

  3. I really need to start reading this series. Also, I have no idea how it happened but for some reason you weren’t showing up in my blogs I follow feed anymore. Think I fixed it. Anyhow, great review. Shared it on Twitter and Books are Delicious FB page!
