I absolutely loved the first book in this series, Throne of Glass, and didn’t know which direction the story would take. NOTHING would prepare me for the twists and turns that Crown of Midnight beheld. I can honestly say that Sarah J. Maas is a brilliant world builder. I love Erilea {the land in which this story takes place} and the magic that is still lingering, despite the ban on all things magical. Maas reveals so many things in CoM that I cannot wait to tear into the third book, Heir of Fire… which is sitting to my right and is begging to be read.

I cannot say enough good things about this book. No second book syndrome here. Just a lot of sword fighting, blood and guts, and conspiracies. There’s a touch of triangle-ish love going on but it works for the story. The tension and sidelong glances and hidden jealousy MUST happen in order for the right feels to be conveyed. If I can look past it, then so can you. #getoverit.

Okay, I can’t put this off any longer… must…read…next…book…. {also, must turn off Hocus Pocus or I will not get ANYTHING done. True Story, I love this movie}

Happy reading, nerds!

  1. Ahhh every time I see a review of Crown Of Midnight it reminds me of my own failure to pick up the sequel! I really should pick up my copy soon; if only it wasn’t one in Spanish…
