You can read the summary for Firecracker here.

This book made its way into my hands as most books do…based solely on the cover. The first thing that caught my eye was the art work. It’s simple yet captivating. The second thing was the author’s bio at the bottom that reads, “A hilarious tragicomedy from New Girl and SNL writer David Iserson.” SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!

Firecracker was hilarious. I told my friend Stefani that Astrid, our MC, was one of the funniest I’ve read. She is an asshole. She’s a jerk. She values herself most and thinks she’s the funniest, best, most wonderful person on the planet. And she’s awesome {that’s me talking, not Astrid but I guarantee she’d agree!} Iserson’s writing style is great! His knack for conversation is fantastic. I mean, really? The guy writes for SNL, New Girl, and United States of Tara. This book is kind of Seinfeldy in the fact that it’s not really about anything. Well… It’s about SOMETHING but not the way you think. You won’t leave feeling refreshed or wiser from some lesson learned. You close the book feeling as if you’re turning off the tv after watching a great show….which makes sense since this guy writes tv for a living.

Anyway, I loved this book. I grinned the ENTIRE time and laughed out loud, shamelessly, too many times to count. Read this book, y’all. You’re welcome.

Happy Reading, my friends!! And for those of you who celebrate, I hope you have a Merry Christmas.
