Calligraphy {Nonbookish}

It’s seems I’ve got the calligraphy bug again. It comes and goes, you know how it is. Anyway, after talking to my friend Athena I’ve decided to post some doodles {heh heh, doodles} every now and then…if that’s okay with you guys.

I know this is a book blog but quotes now and then isn’t so bad, right!?

Anyway, here’s what I did this morning. I used Winsor and Newton Calligraphy ink {white}, the Brause 66EF nib {smaller} and the Leonardt 40 nib {bigger}. Enjoy 🙂

  1. I like this idea of posting quotes. 🙂 I always wanted to be able to do calligraphy! I tried, but I could never make it look good. I just have naturally sloppy handwriting. Yours is so pretty!

    • Thank you, Molly!!! I’m self taught and use Modern Calligraphy by Molly Thorpe as a text book:) My normal handwriting changes daily and it’s usually awful. You should try it again!

  2. Hehe…I love the last quote. Very true. I used to calligraphy but then all my ink dried up…Modern Calligraphy by Molly Thorpe? I’ll have to remember that! Really nice calligraphy, though!

  3. Love, love, LOVE! Keep adding little things like this to your blog…it makes it you. Looking forward to your future quotes! (Also, sorry for my absence as of late! Just getting back into this after some time away)
