Read-A-Thon Time!

My friend Sarah at treesofreverie is hosting an April Read-A-Thon beginning April 23rd and ending April 29th.

The purpose of this challenge is to get everyone reading more. Now, I don’t really have this problem as reading is all I do these days but I wanted to join in the fun anyway. Sarah has asked us to set a goal, pick our books and then be interactive with the books we are reading {post photos, quotes we like, reviews, etc}. The challenge is mainly taking place on tumblr but I’ll be posting both here and there.

So…here are the books I’ll be reading…

Stardust by Neil Gaiman

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson

Noggin by John Corey Whaley

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz

While Beauty Slept by Elizabeth Blackwell

The Cost of Living by M.L. Pressman

My choices were based on the fact that I’ve skipped over many of these to read something else, save the two newest books {Noggin and Beauty}. Wish me luck!!b

  1. I wish I could participate in this, but I am so slammed with school work and finals. You have some awesome picks! I enjoyed Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. I have been wanting to read Stardust and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, so I can’t wait to see your reviews and thoughts on these books!

      • I just read your review on Goodreads and I can’t tell you how thrilled I am that another reader enjoyed “The Cost of Living” and spent their time reviewing it. This book was truly a passion project and I spent a decade writing it in little spurts. When I see a review like yoursโ€ฆI really can’t put into words my appreciation. I wish I had the opportunity to thank everyone in this way because it means so much to me.

      • Thank you so much for taking time out to read my review. It means a lot and I think it’s awesome that you liked what I had to say!! I know I don’t have a huge following but I’m hoping that some one reads your book because of what I’ve said. Your hard work paid off as I truly enjoyed Caroline and her crazy mother!!
