Because it’s Sunday and because books, here’s my latest book haul featuring Charlie. She just couldn’t resist rubbing all over the new books, but I mean, who can blame her!?

  1. Oooh the Eyre affair has been jumping out at me for months, purely because of the title haha. Also the Auschwitz escape sounds like it is right up my alley!

    • I came upon Jasper Fforde’s novels serendipitously. I wasn’t even looking and then BAM! All of his awesome looking books just waiting for me to find them:) I hope it’s good! And I take it you’re a history buff? If so, right on!! I studied WWII and the Holocaust some in college and have always been interested:) I’ll be reading it soon so keep an eye out!!

      • Aye that I am! Specifically WW2/holocaust, abolition of slavery, suffragette movement and civil rights movement eras all fascinate me but also ww1. If you haven’t read Code Name Verity you *REALLY* need to!

      • Awesome! We have that in common:) I have read it, reviewed it on here actually. I cried. I was so moved by it. Such a lovely novel! Iron Jawed Angels was such a good movie about the suffragist movement. You’d like it if you haven’t seen it already.

      • Ooooh I cried too! ill have to go through your past reviews and catch up! Ooh ill look into it thanks! Have you seen they have allowed filming inside Parliament for a Hollywood movie for the first time ever because they are making Suffragette?! Hells yeah!

Also your cat is adorable and has a very artistic sense of photography!

      • You’re welcome! It’s a wonderful movie. No, I didn’t see that but I love it!! I’m looking forward to Suffragette!

        Haha:) She says thanks!!
